"We were looking at doing a major renovation to our place - adding a granny flat and large garage with a loft.
After talking to Joe and Lucinda we were very happy with their plan and timeline for our build and excited with some ideas they had.
One key item we needed was for grandma to remain living onsite in the original house, which turned out to be no problem for the team who accommodated her throughout the building process.
The regular updates and progress reports were very reassuring. I had many questions, generally on a Friday afternoon, and Joe always answered his phone and explained why and how things were going which was excellent leading into the weekend. His teams positive and friendly manor was so good and us coming to visit was never an issue.
Once the build was completed and signed off, we discovered an issue no one could have anticipated with the original house code of compliance not being finalised by the original builder. Joe and Lucinda jumped straight into finding a solution. This was by no means an easy fix but with their experience and contacts within the industry, they found and resolved the issue.
I would absolutely have them build anything else we did and would highly recommend them as a reliable, honest and committed team to work with .We could not have been happier with the whole process and end results."

"We bought our run down crib in September 2021 and lived in it for a difficult year before contacting Joe from McKay Brothers Building to take on the renovation.
The care taken by Joe McKay was exceptional. Joe's easy going and relaxed manner made it really easy to communicate with him.
He and his team had the ability to think outside of the square to effectively problem solve coming up with ingenious solutions. The Rimu from an old cloakroom (hidden behind the bathroom wall) was put into the kitchen. The Rimu timber floor boards were uplifted from the bedrooms and laid on the lounge floor.
The whole place has been reconfigured, it's unrecognisable now - all in all the quality has been exceptional and we're very very pleased with the renovation" - Chris & Martin
