We’re Hiring: Project Manager | Foreman | Leading Hand

 Location: Wānaka /Central Otago

If you care about quality, back yourself to get the job done, and want a crew that works hard without the ego, you’ll fit in here. We’ve got steady work locked in, great projects across Wanaka, and a tight team culture that values doing it right and having a life outside of site.

Project Manager

You’ll own the delivery of residential projects across Central Otago - planning, programming, communication, and outcomes. You’ll work closely with clients, designers, suppliers, and our site teams to keep projects running smoothly and finished to a high standard.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Building and managing programmes and timelines

  • Coordinating trades, materials, inspections, and council touchpoints

  • Clear communication with clients and internal teams

  • Driving quality, safety, and on-time delivery

  • Identifying issues early and solving them fast

Foreman

You’ll own the day-to-day delivery on site - leading builds and/or renovations to programme and setting the standard for quality, pace, safety, and culture. You’ll run a small crew (typically with a Leading Hand/Apprentice) and work closely with the Project Manager to keep things moving and finished to a high standard.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Running site day-to-day and delivering to programme

  • Leading and mentoring your crew (Leading Hand/Apprentice)

  • Coordinating trades and workflow on site with the Project Manager

  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship, site presentation, and safety

  • Identifying issues early and solving them fast

  • Clear communication—progress, variations, and what’s needed next

Leading Hand

You’ll be the Foreman’s right-hand on site - reliable, efficient, and capable of running tasks without being babysat. You’ll bring a solid kit of tools, help keep the site moving, and support apprentices day-to-day while maintaining strong quality and safety standards.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Completing allocated tasks unsupervised and to a high standard

  • Supporting the Foreman to keep workflow moving and site organised

  • Assisting with set-out, framing, fix, and finishing work (role dependent)

  • Helping guide apprentices with day-to-day tasks and good habits

  • Keeping a tidy, safe site and looking after tools/materials

  • Flagging issues early and communicating clearly with the Foreman
